Cellphones for Classroom Instruction in Naga and Bikol

Naga City - Instead of simply using cellphones for texting and playing games by kids, they can now be used for effective instructions and shall become part of the system of education of kids in Naga City and the Bikol region.

This project will be launched on April 13, 2011 at 10am at Don Manuel Abella Elementary School in Cararayan, Naga City. The objective of the program is to improve the instructions at the elementary level of public schools to facilitate learning in Science, Mathematics, and English.

Twelve (12) other schools in Naga, the biggest city in Bikol, will take advantage of the program: Grand View, Carolina, Naga Central 2, Pacol, Panicuason, Villa Grande, San Isidro, San Rafael, Del Rosario, Tabuco and Mabulo.

To grace the occasion and speak during the launch are the City Mayor John Bongat, DepEd Supt. Diosdado San Antonio, and guests from Manila.
