GMA Network, Inc., the Philippines’ number one broadcast network, recorded a strong start for the first quarter of 2013 as it continues to dominate competitors in viewer-rich Urban Luzon. Based on data from January to March 2013 of Nielsen (January 1 to March 16 official data; March 17 to 24 overnight data), GMA registered an average total day audience share of 35.7 percent, up 6.2 points compared to ABS-CBN’s 29.5 points, and up 21.2 points from TV5’s 14.5 percent.
