Abducted father and son found dead

SAN FERNANDO, Camarines Sur - The dead bodies of father and son, identified as Martin Copino and his 20-year old son, Jimson, have been recovered by the San Fernando police more than a week after they were abducted from their home.

In the evening of February 28 armed group of 10  men forcibly took the victim from their home  in sitio Calomagnan, San Fernando town.

CAMP SIMEON OLA, LEGAZPI CITY –  Ruel Caballero Vargas, alias “Weng” who carries a Php. 150,000 bounty on his head and ranked third among the police’s National Most Wanted has recently been arrested in Masbate.

A joint police Intelligence operatives of the PIT5, RIU5, Regional Police Office, 5, led by Police Insp. Gilberto L. Alcovindas conducted the operation in barangay Lanang, Aroroy, Masbate at about 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday (March 6).

Teenage girls reported missing, 1 found dead in Calabanga

CALABANGA, CAM. SUR – The  dead body of a 15-year old girl reported missing since almost a month ago was found  inside a palay sack in sitio Caditaan, barangay Harubay, some 15-kms. from the town center.  The body had been buried at a grassy area.

CALABANGA Police Chief Insp. Venerando Flor Ramirez reported on Wed. (March 6) that the missing girl was identified as Sweet Faye Saes Ladores.

According to the 62 year-old father, Rodrigo Ladores , her daughter had been missing since Feb.8 this year.

The National Youth Commission (NYC) is enjoining young Filipinos to turn off their lights on March 23, 8:30 pm in celebration of Earth Hour.  “Earth Hour is among the most significant efforts of humans to give back to nature. We may never truly replace what is lost, but we can do something about those that are at risk environmentally,” said Commissioner Erwin Andaya, Chair of NYC’s Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development.
