Doc Ferds' bat encounter and Doc Nielsen's water snake search ends Wednesday on Born to be Wild

In the finale of Born To Be Wild's bat and water snake series, Doc Ferds Recio and a team of experts have documented 8 out of the 35 species of bats found in Bohol. Through mist nets, bat biologists are able to study the bats up close. Doc Ferds gets the opportunity to see them up close as part of an ongoing study of bats in the area.

Elections are rooted in the fundamental principle that government exists only on consent of the governed. There are two critical concepts in this proposition, that is, consent and governed. But both terms spring from one and the same tree, as it were: We, the People.

Thus, in our Constitution, it is we, the sovereign Filipino People, who establish the government. And it is through elections that we put individual people to run it or unfortunately in many instances, ruin it.

For the first time, the Alay Kapwa (AK) Program of the CBCP-NASSA launches its National Lenten Campaign simultaneously in three Dioceses, one from each of the three regions in the Philippines. This year, 2013 the theme is “CHALLENGES AND RESPONSES OF STEWARDSHIP IN THE YEAR OF FAITH.”
