Caloocan City Prosecutor recommends dismissal of multiple charges filed against GMA Network personalities

The Caloocan City prosecutor recommended the dismissal of the criminal complaints filed against Chairman and CEO lawyer Felipe L. Gozon, news anchor Mike Enriquez and Imbestigador segment producer John Cabaluna of broadcast company GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) that stemmed from an Imbestigador episode aired on January 29, 2011.

In a five-page resolution issued by Investigating Prosecutor Albert Cansino of the Office of the City Prosecutor of Caloocan, Cansino said that the complaints should be dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence and substance.

Without social consciousness and the will to change, transformational leadership will remain elusive – not under the present state of the nation anyway. From the way he has shown his “leadership” so far, the country has already seen the rest of Aquino’s presidency. Without even being understood by the people, “transformational presidency” has lost its appeal.

But recently, a lowly policeman found himself in the hot seat and the target of vengeful actions by the entire forces of government when he unwittingly blocked the presidential convoy.

Skeletal remains of 'Kangaroo Court' victims found in Quezon

SAN FRANCISCO, QUEZON (July 22, 2012)  - A farmer who was plowing his field accidentally unearthed the skeletal remains of what is believed to be that of the victims of the NPA's 'Kangaroo Court' purging more than two decades ago.

Mr Rommel Malinao, 47, was preparing his farm for the planting season yesterday when he discovered the mass grave containing the remains of at least 30 people, in his field in Sitio Irrigation, Pagsangahan village here.
