In a consultation-meeting held on February 24, 2009, the NCF administration through its Vice President for Finance, Ms. Emerita V. Padua, announced that the school will have no tuition fee increase for the coming school year 2009-2010.
The said decision came up to heed the appeal of the government, particularly the Commission on Higher Education, not to increase tuition fees because of the difficult economic situation being experienced globally.
NCF President Dr. Carlo P. Villanueva added that the 0% increase in tuition fee is another initiative of the school in the exercise of its corporate social responsibility as it recognizes the fact that an increase in the cost of education may lead to students dropping out of school.
Dr. Villanueva, however, assured the students that despite the “no increase in tuition fee”, the school has been taking efforts to provide better quality of education and better services to its students. He cited that the school is making changes and improvements on its structure, programs and systems in preparation for the school year 2009-2010.
Also present during the said meeting were students, faculty members and employees of the school who all expressed their appreciation of the announcement made by the school’s top officials.
