II. REQUIREMENTS FOR MARRIAGE CELEBRATION

A. Preparatory Stage 1. Baptismal Certificate of both the bride and the groom. They must be new (no less than six months old) and properly marked with 'FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES" by the issuing parish and duly signed by the parish priest or his parochial vicar and not by the parish secretary.
2. Confirmation Certificate of the couple also duly signed by the parish priest or his parochial vicar and properly marked with "FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES." 3. Written permission from the proper pastor or proper ordinary is required, if both parties are not from the parish where they will be married by reason of domicile, quasi-domicile or one month residence. 4. Certificate attesting to the couple's having completed the Family Life (Pre-Cana) Seminar. 5. Dispensation/(s)/Permission/(s) if any from the Archdiocesan Curia. a. Permission for Mixed Marriage b. Dispensation from the impediments of Disparity of Cult c. Dispensation from the 30-day preparation requirement prior to marriage celebration and dispensation from the mandatory marriage banns. In securing such dispensation, the parish priest shall make a request to the Archbishop through the Chancery explaining the reasons for such request. 6. Result of the canonical banns. Certificate of Freedom to Marry from the concerned Matrimonial Tribunal, if previous marriage was declared null and void "ab initio" especially if the couple to be married or any one of them is coming from another country and other such documents as may be required. 7. Marriage license from the Office of the Local Civil Registrar), or marriage contract if the couple has previously entered civil marriage or affidavit attesting to the couple's having cohabitated for five years or more without impediments. 8.
