LEGAZPI CITY, April 30 -- At least two people died and three others wounded on Thursday when fired at by unidentified gunmen in a village in Oas town in Albay, an Army official said Friday.

Killed were Rochele Tupasi, 32, and Ronald Marco, 31. Wounded were Ronald, 28, Roderick, 21 and Rogelio, Jr. all surnamed Adonis.

The two victims died on the spot while the rest were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Army Lt. Col. John Oberio, commanding officer of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, said that on Thursday unidentified gunmen swooped down in broad daylight to the residence of the Adonis and swiftly fired at the victims.

Responding Army soldiers recovered from the crime scene four empty shells and a live ammo of 9mm bullets.

Police investigators are still looking for leads on the motive of the killing, but possibilities are being established either the killing was insurgency, political related or family feud. (PNA)
