Naga City April 1, 2015 11:56 P.M. - Slightly weakened but still of Super Typhoon status, Maysak has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) just a few minutes ago and is now locally named Typhoon Chedeng, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Naga City Dec 6, 2014 2:12 A.M. -- The Joint Typhoon Warning Center reverts Hagupit (local name Ruby) to super typhoon status as it moves closer to Eastern Samar. Ruby sustained center wind is now 220 kph with gusts up to 280 kph and is located 295 km east-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 495 km east-southeast of Legazpi City, Albay and is moving generally westward (slightly northwesterly) at 13 kph.

Naga City Dec 5 2014 - While remaining a serious threat to Eastern Visayas and the Bicol region, Hagupit (local name Ruby) continues to weaken and has been downgraded to Typhoon. The decrease in force is caused by the initial effect of the surge of the cold Northeast Monsoon on the cyclone.

HAGUPIT local name "Ruby") intensified into a Super Typhoon as it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 3:00 this morning. According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) the chance that Ruby shall hit Philippines land mass somewhere in the Eastern Visayas and the Bicol region has increased to 40% and and possibility that it shall recurve upwards has decreased. Land fall is projected to occur in the morning or afternoon of Saturday, December 7th.
