UNEP Hosts ICCC's Confab

Iriga City  ---   Pursuant to Republic Act 7722, also dubbed as the Higher Education Act of 1994, the University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) is set to host the 4th International Center for Communication Studies (ICCS) convention this coming November 27. 

Initiated by ICCS-Manila, the convention will showcase various talks on communication including Lecture on Current Issues and Trends in Radio and TV Broadcasting and Media Ethics.  Distinguished speakers will also give lectures on how to handle dangerous coverage and will also impart their expertise on how to make a documentary.

Lecturers are renowned journalists and media practitioners who have already created their own distinctive niche in the realm of media industry.   They belong to the sphere of professional practitioners who have already proven their proficiency in the field of communication.

The pool of speakers include Cecille Lardizabal of Reuters Television/ Inquirer Radio, Mark Salazar and Susan Enriquez both of GMA Network and Sol Aragones of ABS-CBN News.

Participants for the said confab will be students and educators along the field of journalism and media communication.

Atty. Remelisa Alfelor-Moraleda, UNEP President that it is indeed a great privilege that ICCS will hold their convention at the University of Northeastern Philippines.

"ICCS is considered now as one of the fastest growing training center for future journalist and media practitioners, and being looked up by those in the communication profession.  There is no reason why UNEP should not fell so blessed and privileged that they chose our university as one of their venues for this kind of endeavor."

ICCS is a member of the Council of Affiliates of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication in South Carolina, USA and an Institutional member of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP).
