Lagonoy Classrooms Razed by Fire
LAGONOY, CAMARINES SUR - FOUR PUBLIC School classrooms at the Lagonoy Central School at the town's poblacion area were razed by a fire of unknown origin on Sunday (July 11) with initial assessed damages reaching about P 15 million, including textbooks, tables, desks, and other classroom fixtures consumed by the blaze.
There was no immediate confirmation from the Bureau of Fire Protection and the local fire department on the cause of the blaze that lasted several hours due to the absence of sufficient fire trucks to combat the blaze.
Sources at the Camarines Sur Police Office reported that the local government has facilitated to transfer the holding of classes to other government buildings for the affectedelementary school children. (SONNY SALES)
