NABUA, CAMARINES SUR - More than 300 delegates from the different provinces of Bicol region came to the two day 5th Regional Organic Agriculture Congress last October 18-19, sponsored by the Dept. of Agriculture – RFU 5, at Macagang Business Center, Nabua, Camarines Sur. This year’s theme is “Organic Agriculture: Sustainability Feeding the Bikolanos.”

Apiculture, emerging industry road-map presented

A road-map for the APICULTURE Industry, otherwise known as beekeeping, was presented by Dr. Apolonio Sito of the National Apiculture Research, Strategic & Development Institute (NARTDI) last Oct. 29 at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) in Pili, Camarines Sur. The industry road-map covers a five (5) year period (2013-17) with a total proposed budget of P500B.

MANILA, Nov. 27, 2012— Some Catholic bishops sent a powerful message to their critics who are pushing the controversial reproductive health (RH) bill: Do not underestimate us.

Isabela de Basilan Bishop Martin Jumoad said the birth control measure is a serious issue that must be dealt with by the Church by campaigning against those who are favoring the bill.

“If the bishops are really determined to campaign against those who are pro-RH bill, I think we can come up with a Catholic vote,” Jumoad said.
