Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal to win Wimbledon 2011

Novak Djokovic has won his first Wimbledon title. He beat defending champion Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. It was Djokovic's fifth straight victory over the Spaniard. It was also his first victory over Nadal in a Grand Slam match.

The president of Serbia watched the game from the royal box.

Djokovic was already assured of the world no. 1 ranking even before he beat Nadal who he is replacing in the ranking.

Djokovic also won this year's Australian Open.
