Novak Djokovic has won his first Wimbledon title. He beat defending champion Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. 

 

Novak Djokovic has won his first Wimbledon title. He beat defending champion Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. It was Djokovic's fifth straight victory over the Spaniard. It was also his first victory over Nadal in a Grand Slam match.

On Monday, Djokovic will be the top-ranked player in the world, replacing defending champion Rafael Nadal who will also be his opponent at the Wimbledon men's final.

It will be the first time in 7 years that the no. 1 ATP ranking is not held by either Nadal or Federer.
