Iriga to Speed up Pension Program for Senior Citizens

Iriga City, April 18 (PIA) --- Pursuant to the provisions of the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, the local government of this city, under the leadership of Mayor Madelaine Alfelor-Gazmen, has already started the registration process to check out qualified senior citizens who would benefit from the social pension for indigent senior citizen’s program

Overseas Irigueños Join Annual Harvest Festival

IRIGA CITY (5 February 2011)—THE ASSOCIATION of overseas Irigueños from the U.S., Europe and the Middle East have arrived in this locality for the annual “Tinagba Festival”, considered the most celebrated harvest festival in the Bikol region in February.

Iriga City Mayor Madelaine Alfelor-Gazmen bared that among the highlights of the festival this year is “Tinagba Magbinaydan 2011” a grand home-coming of overseas Irigueños chaired by Melchor N. Margallo.

UNEP Spearheads Good Governance Confab

Iriga City----The University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) will again be embarking in another worthy endeavor as it gears up for the holding of  an activity dubbed as TAGGED-LGU or Training on Good Governance, Gender and Enterprise Development for Local Government Units.  The three-day confab will be held at the Iriga Plaza Convention Center, Iriga City from January 26 until Jan 28, 2011.
