Aglipay Priest Hits P-Noy's Tepidity on NDF Peace Talks

ANTIPOLO City, Nov. 3, 2010-An Aglipayan priest scored Pres. Benigno C. Aquino III's for his alleged arrogance and non-committal stance towards resuming the impending peace talks between the Philippine government and the National Democratic Front, saying his indifference is hindering the release of all political prisoners (PPs) in the country.

Bishop ‘Disappointed' as Gov't Allows Mass Layoff

MANILA, Nov. 4, 2010-Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said he is "disappointed" by the government's decision to allow the Philippine Airlines' planned mass layoff of some 3,000 employees.

Pabillo said the recent decision of the Department of Labor and Employment will deprive the workers the just share of the fruits of their labor.

"This clearly shows that the policy of the present administration is to favor the capitalists than the ordinary workers," he said.

CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, Pili, Camarines Sur (27 Oct)-THREE PERSONS died and another critically wounded in the latest incidents of political rivalry in the island province of Masbate, after Barangay and SK Elections were postponed for Tuesday (Oct. 26) with the late arrival of election ballots and paraphernalia prompting COMELEC to extend elections for another day.
