  • Preparations are underway for the 7th Juliana Arejola-Fajardo Workshop sa Pagsurat-Bikol, Bicol’s only annual creative writing workshop. Traditionally held in the summer months, the write-shop is finally scheduled on November 27 and 28 at the Our Lady’s Hall of the St. Louise de Marillac School (SLMS) in Pili, Camarines Sur.

  • CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, PILI, Camarines Sur  Nov 13, 2010More than a thousand people received health care services from a medical and dental mission participated by the Army in Bicol, a military official said here today.

    Captain Raul Sasuca, the Medical Officer of the 9th Infantry Division said that a total of 1,555 residents availed of the free medical and dental services during the medical and dental mission participated by the Philippine Army in the past two days (10-11 November) held in SM City Naga City.

  • Mt Bulusan spews ash and black smoke, triggering the evacuation of at least 100 people living near its slopes in Sitio Gimaloto, Ingladian village in Casiguran town, Sorsogon at around 3:45pm yesterday. No one was reported injured during the latest explosion. Soldiers of the 49th Infantry Battalion are placed on high alert to assist in the evacuation of the residents in the 4-kilometer danger zone.

  • JUBAN, Sorsogon Nov 10, 2010- Bulusan's latest eruption and ash fall triggers evacuation by refugees living at the foot of the volcano, a military official said here today.

    1st Lieutenant Oliver Dela Cruz, Commanding Officer of the Charlie Company of the 49th Infantry Battalion said that more evacuees from the 4-kilometer permanent danger zone in Sitio Gimaloto (sub-village) in Ingladian village of Casiguran town, trooped to the evacuation center in Escuala village starting at around 5pm yesterday.

  • LEGASPI CITY, Albay Nov 08, 2010 - The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Council of Albay sends a contingent to heavily-flooded Isabela province in its effort to provide assistance to the growing number of typhoon victims in the said place, a military official said here today.
