  • NAGA CITY (May 28) - "12 women die everyday because of cervical cancer." This was the statement of Dr. Grace Chan, Program Manager of the Cervical Cancer Prevention (CECAP) Network Program last May 27 at the SM Mall Atrium during their campaign against cervical cancer.

    The campaign was named "The Tour of Hope" which, according to the organization is an international bike tour set up by different sectors of society aimed at raising awareness for health issues in Asia. Previous bike tours were held in Thailand and Malaysia.

  • TIGAON CAMARINES SUR (May 19) - The discovery of the lifeless and mutilated body of a girl on a corn field at Zone 5, Brgy. Talojongon, Tigaon has shocked the whole of Partido area in this province.

    The child's body was recovered last Friday, May 15, 10:00 a.m. by a worker who was applying fertilizer on the plantation on the said day. Initial investigation states that the child was 1 year and 4 months young and was last seen by her relatives on the afternoon of May 12.

  • Naga City  -- While many Bikolanos celebrated and enjoyed SM's opening in Naga City, few were conversant of the crisis brought by typhoon "Dante" which ravaged areas due to landslides particularly in Catanduanes and Sorsogon. Other vicinities in Bikol were also affected due to the floods brought by the typhoon.

    According to the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC), "Dante" killed 25 people in Bikol while three remain to be missing. Damages were estimated to reach P191.2 million including P170.535 million in 25,117.11 metric tons of crops; and P127.7 million in infrastructure.

  • Naga City--Despite the continuous rain showers brought by typhoons Dante and Crising, the show must go on for Naga’s newest SM Prime holdings supermall, the SM City Naga, which opened to the public today, Labor Day.

    At 9:00 in the morning, an hour before SM’s Grand Opening, mass of people from all over Camarines Sur, Albay, Catanduanes,Sorsogon and Masbate, were enthused waiting outside the mall.
