GMA Network rolls out a bigger and bolder program line-up this New Year as it launches an extensive run-down of innovative programs slated to premiere on the first quarter of 2012.
Produced by the GMA Drama Group, this roster of equally exciting and promising offerings - primetime and afternoon prime dramas - is topbilled by only the brightest and hottest Kapuso actors and actresses in Philippine show business.
First on the list is the original drama series, LEGACY, which features a powerhouse ensemble of artists top-billed by Heart Evangelista, Alessandra de Rossi, and Lovi Poe with male leads Geoff Eigenmann, Mike Tan and Sid Lucero. Under the helm of director Jay Altarejos, this glossy drama masterpiece is all set to win the hearts of television audiences with its intriguing storyline and interesting mix of characters. It is scheduled to premiere on January 16 on GMA Telebabad. Also in the powerhouse cast are Kapuso stars Mark Bautista, Solenn Heusaff and Sam Pinto and most respected movie and TV actors Eddie Garcia, Cherie Gil, Jackielou Blanco, Maritoni Fernandez, among others.
Soon to bring beautiful music into every Kapuso home is the all-original drama soap opera, BIRITERA. Award-winning Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo returns to the primetime block as he shares stellar billing with two of the network's talented drama stars Glaiza de Castro and Angelika Dela Cruz. Premiering February 6, this highly dramatic and heart-rending offering will introduce a new child singing superstar who will become the next TV sensation to watch out for this year.
For its Valentine offering, the Kapuso Network brings back the phenomenal loveteam of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera on Philippine television via MY BELOVED. Beginning February 13, the reunion project of the celebrity couple is a riveting drama about an angel of death who becomes a mortal and falls in love with a human. Directed by Dominic Zapata, My Beloved will surely spawn many viewers and boost GMA's ratings supremacy this year.
Viewers can only expect better and more exciting drama series this 2012 from GMA Entertainment as it unveils the interesting line-up of new shows in the network's unbeatable Afternoon Prime Block.
Leading the explosive afternoon launches is the first original offering titled BROKEN VOW which will stir up everyone's viewing pleasure with its extreme and engaging storyline and characterization. Topbilled by fresh tandems Luis Alandy - Bianca King and Gabby Eigenmann - Rochelle Pangilinan, this afternoon drama is under the direction of Gil Tejada, Jr. slated to premiere on February 6.
Another premium creation of the GMA Entertainment TV Group is THE GOOD DAUGHTER, set to captivate hearts beginning February 13. Starring the fresh loveteam of Kylie Padilla and Rocco Nacino. Introducing in this soap is pretty Kapuso newcomer Max Collins to complete the story's love triangle. The GOOD Daughter will fire up the afternoon block with its gripping tale of self-discovery, love and a deep sense of belonging.
Also in the offing is HIRAM NA PUSO, a compelling family drama series featuring Kris Bernal, Polo Ravales, Bela Padilla and Mark Herras. Gina Alajar and Ayen Munji-Laurel complete the stellar cast of this original soap filled to the brim with drama, mystery and romance beginning February 20.
To complete the list of upcoming dramas in the afternoon prime block is ALICE BUNGISNGIS AND HER WONDER WALIS. Headlined by Tween stars Bea Binene, Jake Vargas, Derrick Monasterio and Lexi Fernandez, along with Jean Garcia and Janno Gibbs, Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis will definitely send thrills and delights to the Kapuso viewers beginning February 6.
