MANILA, Philippines (Nov. 19, 2011) – The police shall take mugshots and fingerprints of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo a day after the former president , accused of non-bailable offense of electoral sabotage, was served a warrant of arrest in her hospital room.

Last night, Senior Superintendent  James Bucayu, officer in charge of the Southern Police District who served the warrant, told the press that they were deferring the booking of the former president in consideration of her physical condition at the time of the arrest, adding that she would be booked “when she is ready.”

NAGA CITY (Nov. 6, 2011) – Camarines Sur Police Director, Senior Superintendent Procopio Lipana has ordered concerned municipal police chiefs to step up the probe on several unsolved killings that have increased based on October records of the Camarines Sur police office.

Several sensational cases of murders were recorded by the police in October this year...

MANILA, Philippines (Nov. 5, 2011) - The police is set to investigate Ramona Bautista's statements in her involvement in the murder of her brother, Ram Revilla (real name Ramgen Bautista), including her initial claims of being kidnapped by the killers and her subsequent change in narratives.

In her initial statement to the police few hours after the murder, Ramona said that Ram's attackers dragged her into a waiting van and left her near a mall in Las Piñas. But in a more recent interview with ANC’s Dateline Philippines she admitted lying to the police about being abducted because she was ashamed about leaving Ram and and his wounded girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, who survived the attack...

MANILA, Philippines (Nov 5, 2011) - Nine former officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will spend 6 to 10 years in jail after the Sandiganbayan convicted them of graft in connection with the ghost purchase of P38.2-million worth of combat uniforms and equipment in 1992.

Among those convicted of graft were former PNP logistics command (LogCom) chief Director Everlino Nartatez, then service store system administrator, Senior Superintendent Alejandro Espiritu Jr., former Logcom procurement center chief, Superintendent Obedio Espena, and former chief of the directorate for materials Superintendent Alejandro Camello.

MANILA, Philippines (Nov 2, 2011) – Sibling rivalry over money is thought to have resulted in the killing of 23-year-old actor-politician Ram Revilla (Ramgen Jose Bautista in real life) and 2 of his younger siblings have been nabbed and charged for conspiring to kill him last Oct 28.

Ma. Ramona Belen Bautista, 20; and Ramon Joseph Bautista, 18, were charged with murder together with five others accused of helping them execute the killing in the Bautista residence in BF Homes, Parañaque.

“The motive is personal,” city police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran said without elaborating.

Despite the millions that flocked to the cemeteries, police incidents report yeterday showed only entries not directly disruptive of the celebration, including six vehicular accidents, one fire, a robbery and a drowning...

This cumbersome arrangement ensued after classes were ordered resumed even in the still flooded areas in the 2nd and 5th districts of Camarines Sur.

Department of Education (DepEd) Camarines Sur Schools Division Superintendent Emma I. Cornejo said that regular classes have resumed even in flooded areas of the province since August 3.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo announced today that he has ordered the filing of charges against Director George Piano, Senior Superintendent Loi Saligumba, Senior Superintendent Nolan Antonia and Superintendent Edgar Bataan - all of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Naga City (June 21, 2011) – In reaction to Governor Villafuerte's opposition to his appointment as the Police Provincial Director of Camarines Sur, Police Senior Superintendent Procopio Lipana  said that anytime he can pack up his things and leave his office here as if they do not want him to work here.

His assignment here is not a big deal. He can depart from this place anytime if they do not want him to work here.

PNP Regional Director Cecilio Calleja Jr. has ordered Senior Superintendent Victor Deona to head Task Force Olea, which shall focus on the investigation of the mediaman ‘s killing.

Olea was the second media man killed after the May 2010 elections.

But local officials in the province assured that they have simplified the ideas with the help of teachers and scientists. PILI, CamSur Jan 08 2011  Government rescue teams found four fishermen in a seaside village in Quezon Province, a police report said. Combined rescue teams of the AFP are now combing the high seas and the seashores employing soldiers and CAFGU personnel to locate the remaining 19 fishermen.  Catanduanes province has declared 4 missing persons while 15 people were reported missing from Mercedes town in Camarines Norte.

 Senior Superintendent Ericson Velasquez, Quezon Provincial Director said that the four survivors were among the seven crew members of a fishing boat who ventured off the high seas from their hometown in Mercedez, Camarines Norte about two days ago.

Caspe who showed courage in hounding two armed individuals suspected to be selling illegal drugs in the town of Irosin, Sorsogon on December 18, 2010.
