Naga City (June 6 2011) – Three victims of a boat fire incident in the town of Pasacao died yesterday at the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) because of multiple  internal organ failure and dehydration due to severe burns.

Naga City (June 6 2011) – Three victims of a boat fire incident in the town of Pasacao died yesterday at the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) because of multiple  internal organ failure and dehydration due to severe burns.

This was confirmed by the management of the BMC in a press briefing this morning.

Nathan Balbona, the boat captain, Fernan Ragot and Joebert Mangarin, both crewmen of the cargo vessel, died in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Their bodies have been brought to their hometown Mabini in Romblon province.

Pasacao Camarines Sur (June 4 2011) – The municipal mayor of Pasacao, Asuncion Villamente-Arcenio (AVA), is demanding the immediate relief of coast guard personnel town who are hard put to explain the circumstances of a cargo vessel explosion that took place in a private port in this town last Wednesday night.

Mayor Arcenio complains that the coast guard personnel in her town cannot even give a complete report of the incident.

Pasacao, Camarines Sur (June 3 2011) - The owner of ill-fated cargo vessel MV/STC Jeffrey Roy that sunk near a private port here after it caught fire Wednesday evening (June 1) has liability on the incident.

This was the statement of the town’s police chief, Sr. Insp. Alejandro Martinez Monje as the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the MARINA wind up their reports on the incident that seriously injured 8 of the 13 crewmen of the cargo vessel.

Nabua, Camarines Sur (28 December 2010) --Investigators of the Bureau of Fire Protection in this town are still uncertain on the cause of a deadly blaze that killed five people at Zone 1, Barangay Santiago Old, Nabua town, about nine kilometers from the town proper, midnight of Sunday (Dec. 26).

Nabua Fire Marshall Nonito Biares said that fire investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire at the Pariña residence which was also used by the owner as upholstery and welding shops.

LEGAZPI CITY, Nov. 19  - At least 41 volcanic earthquakes jolted Mount Bulusan on Friday, the highest number so far detected by seismic instruments for the past five days, signifying that pressure is still building up and this may probably lead to more ash and steam laden explosions, volcanologists said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) bulletin reported that seismic network detected a total of 41 volcanic earthquakes during the past 24 hours.

LEGAZPI CITY, Nov. 12  -- Mount Bulusan in Sorsogon province belched on Friday morning a voluminous ash plume 700 meters above its crater rim that drifted and covered villages in the southwest flank of the volcano, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs said the phreatic explosion occurred at 6:59 a.m., sending light gray ash column that was accompanied by rumbling sounds, a typical characteristic of Bulusan's restive state.

Ash falls were reported in the villages in the towns of Irosin and Juban.

(NAMASFED) are under pressure from a created Special Study Committee of the Sangguniang Panlunsod to submit to an immediate 100% increase in rentals in the City’s public market  stall before the end of this year.
