Mayor urgently appeals for a fire truck

LAGONOY,CAMARINES SUR (Sep 15, 2011) - After three destructive fires in the last two years, Lagonoy town Mayor Delfin R. Pilapil Jr. is appealing to Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, to provide his town at least one fire truck.

LAGONOY,CAMARINES SUR (Sep 15, 2011) - After three destructive fires in the last two years, Lagonoy town Mayor Delfin R. Pilapil Jr. is appealing to Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, to provide his town at least one fire truck.

The latest destructive fire razed the town’s public market in Sept. 8, damaging P4.5 million worth of properties including 30 public market stalls.

Robredo now full-fledged DILG secretary

Taking almost a year to decide that they can work along after all, President Benigno Aquino III finally keeps Jesse M. Robredo in the cabinet as full-fledged Secretary of the Interior and Local Government and turns over to him the supervision of the Philippine National Police (PNP) as well.

UNEP Spearheads Good Governance Confab

Iriga City----The University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) will again be embarking in another worthy endeavor as it gears up for the holding of  an activity dubbed as TAGGED-LGU or Training on Good Governance, Gender and Enterprise Development for Local Government Units.  The three-day confab will be held at the Iriga Plaza Convention Center, Iriga City from January 26 until Jan 28, 2011.

Bikol Towns Get P1M Good Housekeeping Incentive from DILG

LEGAZPI CITY, Dec. 22, 2010  – Two lowly municipalities of Bikol have been awarded an amount of P1 million each by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) as Performance Challenge Funds (PCF) for meeting the benchmark of good local government housekeeping.
