CBCP Office Launches Website

MANILA, June 26, 2010-The Health Care Commission of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines has launched its own website yesterday during the Core Group meeting at the St. Paul University in Pedro Gil, Manila.

The website's content includes the activities and programs of the commission; the background of the commission; and statements and messages of the commission chairman.

Information about mental retardation; progressive diseases; deafness and among others will also be provided in the website for the advocates and other concerned people to broaden their knowledge on the said ailments.

Meanwhile, the meeting was conducted to discuss on the various plans and programs of the commission with its new chairman, Kabankalan Bishop Patricio Buzon.

Buzon said the he has planned to organize the adhoc committee to effectively supervise the various concerned areas of the commission such as research, governance, human resources, networking and finance.

Attendees of the meeting and the launching were Cotabato Auxiliary Bishop Jose Bagaforo; Sr. Adelina Javellana; Fr. Luke Moortgat; Dr. Irma Coronel; Ronnell Alcantara; Susana Chung; Bro. Raymond Marquez; Fr. Bong Pamintuan; Sr. Arcelita Sarnillo and Sr. Normita Guevara.
