Naga City (April 27, 2011) – Councilor Chito Perez urged his colleagues in the City Council to consider his creative and aggressive tourism development plan that includes cable cars taking tourists from downtown Naga to Barangay Panicuason at the foot of Mount Isarog.

In his privilidge speech during the City Council’s regular session, Perez said the city government can bolster its competitiveness in terms of tourist attractions by improving Barangay Panicuason where hot springs and the Malabsay Falls are found.

Reportedly, Perez was reacting to the information that the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur plans to put up an entertainment center for tourists at the Provincial Capitol ground.

Taking note that the Provincial Government has already an established dollar earner in the CAMSUR Watersports Complex (CWC), Peraz insists that Naga City must not lag behind. “We like some of those tourist dollars to be spent in this city so that our economic growth can be sustained,” Perez said.
