Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of this province headed by Vice Governor Fortunato Pena immediately convened yesterday as per instruction of Camarines Sur Governor Miguel “Migz” Villafuerte to declare the province under the State of Calamity.

NDRMMC, in its 6 a.m. situationer report said 146,875 families or 716,639 persons have been evacuated in safer areas in Regions 4-A (Calabarzon), 4-B (Mimaropa), 5 (Bicol), 6 (Western Visayas), 7 (Central Visayas), 8 (Eastern Visayas) and Caraga.

MANILA, Dec. 7, 2014— A man died in the middle of an evacuation yesterday as typhoon Ruby was heading for Eastern Samar, following a suspected heart attack brought on by panic.
