Open all accounts, SALNs and ITRs!

President Aquino has challenged Chief Justice Corona to voluntarily open up his (Corona’s) alleged dollar accounts. But if you dare the other, why not start with your own self first?

The President can be the first to open up his own accounts, SALNs and ITRs. Then he can order the entire Executive Department to do likewise starting with his cabinet members—some of whom are already eyeing the 2013 elections. After all, transparency is his crown (“corona”) mantra of governance.

SWS: 70 percent of Filipinos satisfied with Aquino's performance

MANILA, Philippines (Feb 14, 2012) - The latest survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) that covers the fourth quarter of 2011 shows that 7 out of 10 Filipinos remain satisfied with the performance of the Aquino administration. The SWS Fourth Quarter of 2011 Survey found 67 percent of respondents satisfied, 21 percent ambivalent and 11 percent dissatisfied with the government’s general performance, for a net rating of +56, unchanged from three months earlier.

MANILA, Philippines (Feb 9, 2012) - Despite the defense's objections and a pending petition for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) at the Supreme Court, the Senate impeachment court allowed the testimony of the president of Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) who presented bank records of Chief Justice Renato Corona's peso accounts - but not the dollar accounts.
