GMA News scores big in exclusive Clinton coverage

From questions about her family, to what’s in her iPod’s playlist and on to more serious matters on US-RP relationship, United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was clearly in her element during a public forum organized by the US Embassy in Manila recently.

Dubbed “A Conversation in Manila,” the forum was held last Nov. 16 at the National Museum, and was aired live and exclusively by media partners GMA News TV and GMA News Online.

NTC reduces interconnection charges for text messaging

 

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – Texters shall  benefit from reduced charges  for text messaging after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) approved the reduction in the interconnection charges  short messaging service or SMS.

In a directive, the NTC ordered that the interconnection charge for SMS between two separate telecommunications networks should not exceed 15 centavos per SMS.

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – Texters shall  benefit from reduced charges  for text messaging after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) approved the reduction in the interconnection charges  short messaging service or SMS.

In a directive, the NTC ordered that the interconnection charge for SMS between two separate telecommunications networks should not exceed 15 centavos per SMS.

With the enactment of the new rate, the interconnection cost of SMS will be cut by 20 centavos from the prevailing rate of 35 centavos per SMS.

Google offers Gmail free texting

MANILA Philippines (July 23 2011) - Google, through Gmail, now offers free texting using the Philippine's cellular phone service providers - Globe, Smart and Sun.
