It was a close escape for the Falcons as they got their sixth win in eight outings in UAAP Season 74 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 6-2 Nuyles eluded La Salle’s Oda Tampus with a spin move then unleashed a jump shot that found nothing but net with 0.8 second left.

Nobody really gave much of a chance for the locals to beat the NBA stars who are among the best players in the world but the crowd waited with bated breath just every move the NBA stars made.

For the PBA stars, it was an experience that borders on the surreal.

Earlier, Ateneo coach Norman Black rightly anticipated a tough game with Adamson, which has the potential to derail their run for a 4th straight championship in UAAP basketball.

DALLAS (AP) – Dirk Nowitzki's fever is gone and he feels great for Game 5 of the NBA finals.

DALLAS (AP) – Dirk Nowitzki's fever is gone.

The Mavericks star said "I feel great" as he took the court for a shootaround Thursday, about eight hours before Game 5 of the NBA finals. He declared himself over the worst effects of a sinus infection he played through in Game 4.

Nowitzki said these infections crop up from time to time, and it's the fever that always causes him the most trouble. The coughing, wheezing and sniffling, some of which were still evident Thursday, are just "something you play through," he said.

And this time, Nowitzki did it while battling the flu.

Nowitzki shook off three poor quarters to score 10 of his 21 points in the final period as the Mavericks outscored the Miami Heat 21-9 over the final 10:12 for an 86-83 victory in a memorable Game 4 on Tuesday night.
