Escapee recaptured in Quezon province

LABO, CAMARINES NORTE (May 05 2012)– A composite operative of the Intelligence section of the Camarinesa Norte Police Office, the Labo Municipal police station and the Regional Special Intelligence operation team finally recaptured an elusive escaped prisoner, Ramil Padua Trinidad, the number one most wanted person of Labo town, at barangay Malikbay, Pagbilao, Quezon, the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Ofiice reported during the weekend.

Labo town Police Chief Inspector Eusebio Arturo Escoto Estopare said that Trinidad was recaptured together with Marlon Villalun Valencia, 37, a resident of Tulay na Lupa, Labo. However the detainee’s brother, Ronel Trinidad, 22, eluded arrest.

Both Valencia and Trinidad’s brother Ronel have been charged by the Police for aiding in the escape of the recaptured detainee.

According to Estopare, Trinidad was charged of Robbery and Homicide before the Regional Trial Court, branch 38 in Daet town, after he was arrested last April 13 at barangay Sta. Maria, Calauag, Quezon.

Trinidad escaped from his detention cell at the Labo, Municipal police station, aided by Trinidad’s live-in-partner, Jonabelle Villaflores Raneses, on the evening of April 17. Raneses is now facing two criminal charges for “Direct Assault Upon Person in Authority” and “Obstruction of Justice” under Presidential Decree 1829 and is now detained at the Municipal Police station of Talisay town.

The two other accomplices, the detainee’s brother Ronel and Valencia are both facing charges of “Harboring of Criminal” filed before the Provincial Prosecution Office in Daet town. (SONNY SALES)
