Thousands of Bicolanos gave a warm welcome for Eat Bulaga dabarkads Allan K., Ruby Rodriguez, and Keempee de Leon during the Kapuso Night that coincided with the province’s annual Magayon Festival last April 6 at the Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City.
Their presence made over 5,000 supporters, from the young ones to the old ones, doubly ecstatic when they each delivered their signature antics and flexed their funny bones that had the audience up on their feet and enthusiastically participating throughout the event.
The local government unit of Legazpi, in addition, also mounted the Ginoo ng Magayon pageant that took place in the same venue on April 5, wherein guest Kapuso actress Kim Rodriguez thrilled everyone with an upbeat greeting and enjoyable performance number.
Meanwhile, several other Kapuso stars brought amusement to various parts of the country during the first half of April.
Proving that their extraordinary love team remains a hit, Kapuso actors Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez, more popularly known as TomDen from the phenomenal primetime series My Husband’s Lover, lent their star power to Bacolod City’s Lin-ay Sang Negros Pageant held at the Panaad Park and Stadium on April 4.
Singing select pieces from their album, TomDen serenaded not just the contestants but the overwhelming crowd estimated at 18,000 as well. Joining them as event host was Taste Buddies’ Isabelle Daza. But prior to this, TomDen also had the chance to mingle with their fans who were swooning over them in a mall show mounted by GMA Regional TV at the Activity Center of Gaisano Grand Mall.
On the same day, Pangasinenses caught sight of Rhodora X’s Yasmien Kurdi, Innamorata’s Max Collins, and Kapuso leading man Geoff Eigenmann at the Public Plaza Auditorium where the Kapuso Night was held in celebration of this year’s Malangsi Fishtival. Two days after the said affair, Yasmien and Geoff proceeded to SM City Rosales to banner another Kapuso Mall Show.
The afternoon of April 5, meanwhile, saw Kambal Sirena’s Mike Tan and Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos in SM City Tarlac carrying out engaging production numbers for the audience, as well as Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw’s Kristoffer Martin and the gorgeous Bela Padilla in Lingayen, Pangasinan participating in the Agew na Pangasinan Parade.
After Bacolod, Iloilo was next in line to experience the excitement brought about by Tom who bared an all-out performance during a mall show held at the Fountain Area of Robinson’s Place Iloilo on April 10.
Lastly, on April 12, Mike, together with Kapuso sweetheart Kris Bernal headed on to Nueva Ecija to spread cheers to their supporters via a Kapuso Mall Show that took place in Robinson’s Cabanatuan. It was mounted simultaneously with GMA Primetime Queen Marian Rivera’s Kapuso Fans’ Day in Robinson’s Place Roxas that gathered almost 8,000 Capizanons who were all really eager to see her for the very first time.
“Our commitment to bring quality and superior entertainment to our fellow Kapuso around the country definitely won’t end here,” shares Head for Integrated Marketing Division of GMA Regional TV Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, assuring viewers that “more and more activities with bigger artist participation are already planned until the end of the year.”
