NAGA CITY (July 27 2012) - In the first two quarters of this year, the Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives in the 35 towns and 2 cities in Camarines Sur province arrested 385 persons with existing warrants, with 52 ranked as “ most wanted” in their respective towns and localities.
Police provincial office community relations officer Supt. Cirilo Trilles said that the arrests of wanted persons dovetail with the police program called "PO1 manhunt Charlie," a major program of the PNP nationwide aiming to effect the arrests of wanted persons with existing warrants.
Trilles said the Camarines Sur PNP’s drive for the arrest of wanted persons has also resulted in the arrest of persons who are being hunted in other provinces in Bicol region.
Based on the 2nd quarter evaluation of municipal police stations in this province, the municipal police station of the capital town Pili, Camarines Sur is recognized as the highest ranked in overall performance in terms of the number of arrests of wanted persons.
Among those “most wanted” personalities who fell to the Pili police were: Randy Violeta, accused of Rape; Jose Cariso Jr. accused of “violation against women and children”, Bryant Baldovia, accused of “Child Abuse”; Hernando Revilla and Rolando Bascuna, both accused of “Child Abuse” and Illuminado Cortez, accused of Homicide.
