MANILA, Philippines - Feeling the heat after the impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona, two justices Supreme Court (SC) who were appointed by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo are reportedly contemplating of early retirement even if their term at the highest court go beyond that of Philippine President Benigno C. Aquino III, according to three separate sources of the Philippine Star.

The Philippine Star, however, is withholding the names of the two magistrates and the circumstances under which they would be retiring early by way of resignation.

Manila Philippines (Dec 6, 2011) - Pulse Asia released today its nationwide Ulat sa Bayan survey conducted on 1,200 representative adults 18 years old and above from November 10 to 23, 2011 showing that President Benigno C. Aquino III still enjoys high approval and trust rating.

" In November 2011, 72% of Filipinos are appreciative of President Aquino’s performance while 74% trust him," Pulse Asia published in its website, adding only 9%, or less than one in ten Filipinos. distrust the President or is critical of him.

MANILA, Philippines – While ruling out an all-out war with the the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), President Benigno C. Aquino III vowed Friday to give justice  to the 19 soldiers who were killed by MILF rebels in Basilan last Tuesday.

Aquino made the commitment as he condoled with the families and relatives of the slain soldiers on Friday.

“For all those who were responsible for the death of these soldiers, I warn you the government will not let this pass, we will hunt you down and give justice to the victims,” Aquino told reporters at the Libingan ng mga Bayani late Friday...
