NAGA CITY - - THE REMAINS of a Bulgarian national was airlifted to Manila on Sunday (May 30) after reportedly dying of cardiac arrest during a contest of the reality TV series 'Survivor" being filmed at the white-sand Gota Beach in Caramoan, Camarines Sur.
It was reported here Monday that a representative from the Bulgarian government said that it will still be sending personnel to probe the cause of death of 53-year old "Survivor" contestant Moncho Vodennicharov.
The Caramoan PNP reported to the police provincial office here that Vodennicharov died instantaneously after performing a "challenge" in the "Survivor" contest.
The police reported that a Filipino and Bulgarian doctors identified as Genevieve L. Go and Nicolay Neikov, who attended to Vodennicharov at Gota Beach, have confirmed that the Bulgarian had suffered a cardiac-arrest.
The regional office of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) based in Naga City confirmed that the Bulgarian national were among the second batch of "Survivor" contestants who arrived in Camarines Sur.
BID regional alien control officer Atty. Jose S. Tria Jr. said the first batch of "Survivor" contestants checked with the BID in Bikol in March this year, consisting of four Argentineans, a Columbian, and six Israeli nationals. (SONNY SALES)
