Naga City – A reward of P100,000 is waiting to any witness who can provide positive identification of suspects in the robbery-hold up incident last week at a Jollibee restaurant here.
The Naga City Sangguniang Panlungsod approved in its regular session the allocation of the said amount in order to effect the immediate arrest of suspects.
According to City councilor John Bongat, Chairman of the appropriations committee, the amount was already approved and is ready for release in case a possible witness comes out to identify suspects.
It can be recalled that one died and another person was injured during the heist that took place at the Jollibee restaurant at Panganiban Drive last 5 November. The victims were peppered by bullets from calibers .45 and 9mm pistols from the two of six suspects who operated the said crime; P210,000 were reported to have been taken.
Bongat said the reward was in response to the public outcry for the immediate arrest of the criminals.
In previous crime incidences in this city, potential witnesses were reluctant to cooperate in investigations since they feared for their safety once they got involved.
“With this amount we hope that several witnesses of the crime would come out to testify and be possible witnesses in court the moment cases are filed against suspects,” Bongat told Vox Bikol.
“Dae matatapos an saindang obligasyon sa pagtukdo sana kan mga suspechado kundi sinda magiging testigo sa korte sagkod na matapos an kaso bilang parte kan pagtao kan siring na kantidad sa tawo na makakatukdo kan itsura kan mga kriminal,” Bongat added.
