Wake up to more exciting weekends as GMA Network brings to regional television the local counterpart of the widest reality talent show Bet ng Bayan—the Bet ng Bayan: The Provincial Showdown. It airs every Saturday via all nine GMA regional stations in Ilocos, Bicol, Dagupan, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Davao, GenSan, and Cagayan de Oro.
Hosted by Kapuso actress Bettina Carlos, the weekly program presents the second leg of the competition featuring never before seen full performances of finalists per category—Bet sa Kantahan, Bet sa Sayawan, and Bet sa Kakaibang Talento—which are revealed in the daily strands of the national program.
In each category, only one contestant gets to advance to the regional finals where he or she is set to compete against the winning bet of the other province in their region. For every regional finals, there are two provincial showdowns.
For its first episode, Bet ng Bayan: The Provincial Showdown shows the showdown of provincial winners in South Luzon (Albay) and North of Mega Manila (Batangas) which had Soul Diva Jaya and Hiphop World Champion/Philippine All Stars choreographer Kenjohns Serrano as celebrity judges.
