MANILA, May 7, 2014 — A Catholic bishop has joined the growing calls for Justice Secretary Leila De Lima to release the list of lawmakers allegedly involved in the P10-billion pork barrel scam.

Batanes Bishop Camilo Gregorio said that the DOJ chief should divulge the contents of Janet Lim Napoles’ affidavit for the sake of transparency and accountability.

He said that the government’s campaign against corruption willbe put into question if the DOJ refuses to release the list reportedly containing several names of administration allies.

“(It should be released) so that it can be verified. We all know who are in the list,” Gregorio told Manila archdiocese-run Radio Veritas.

According to him, the public will only think that politics has something to do with the government’s investigation into thescam if it will spare its allies.

“Everything is political. We cannot find the truth that we are looking for because of the dirty politics,” Gregorio said. (CBCPNews)
