Naga City (June 29, 2013 6:25 A.M.) - Based on the latest weather bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA), tropical storm shall make landfall in Eastern Samar this morning, packing centerwind of 65 kph with gustiness up to 85 kph.
At 4:00 A.M. today, the center of the storm was located 100 kms. East of Borongan City and is moving Northwest in the direction of the Bicol region at 15 kph.
Tomorrow morning (Monday), 'Gorio' shall be in the vicinity of Legazpi City. On Monday morning, 'Gorio' shall be in the vicinity of Iba, Zambales.
Storm signal no. 2 is now raised over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Burias and Ticao Island in Bicol Region; and over Samar Provinces, Biliran and Leyte in the Visayas. These areas shall experience winds with force between 61 and 100 kph.
Signal no. 1 is now raised over Camarines Norte, Quezon, Polillo Island, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Aklan, Capiz, Northeastern Iloilo, Bantayan Island, Camotes Island, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Province and Siargao Island. These areas shall experience winds with force between 45 and 60 kph.
Moderate to heavy rainfall (5-15 mm per hour) is expected within 300 km-diameter of the Tropical Storm.
