NAGA CITY – The wife a Pepsi-Cola Naga-Plant employee who was killed by riding-in-tandem armed-robbers at an isolated road at Zone 2, Del Rosario in this city early this week has appealed to authorities to bring to justice the armed-robbers who killed her husband, a 37-year old employee who was ambushed while driving a company truck in the said barangay road.
Mrs. Sushela Punzalan, wife of the slain Pepsi employee Michael Santelices Punzalan said she still spoke to her husband moments before the incident.
As reported by two other crew workers riding the same truck, Punzalan tried to flee from the armed-robbers by accelerating his delivery truck, but the two suspect clad in bonnets, one driving a motorcycle and another standing by the road fired at the victims to stop the vehicle.
The said workers, Richard Gonzales Rito, 38 and Ronald Cape Capinig, 36 were also wounded during the shooting and were later brought to the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) for treatment.
Punzalan was reported to have sustained 5 gunshot wounds that caused his death. The police investigators found at the crime scene 4 empty shells from Cal. 45 pistols.
Naga City Police Office spokes-person SPO4 Elmer Pitallano said investigators have to confirm from the Pepsi-Cola Naga-Plant, if there was indeed Php.10,000 worth of cash taken from Punzalan by the armed-robbers.
