NYC says GO for 10 na TAYO!

After a successful 9th National Youth Parliament, the National Youth Commission opens up another opportunity for the youth organizations to partake in this year’s Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO). TAYO is an official award given by the NYC and TAYO Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the Coca-Cola Company and Senator Kiko Pangilinan. This is in recognition for the vibrancy and active involvement of the youth in addressing the different facets of youth issues and concerns through their implemented programs and projects.

Qualifications:

1. Open to all groups, organizations, clubs and societies whose membership and leadership are composed of at least 15 members who are 15-30 years old;

2. The project entry to be submitted must be a recently concluded project or an ongoing program. A project proposal does not qualify as an entry;

3. A continuing project entry (or one that started in 2011) must either be completed, or a major portion must have been undertaken by the deadline.

Requirements:

1. Accomplished entry form (available at the NYC nearest offices and website)

2. List of officers, leaders and founders (name, position, contact numbers and e-mail address)

3. One page certification attesting to the existence and veracity of the information submitted (for in school: certification from Office of Student Services & for community-based, out of school or working youth organizations: certification from barangay or local officials

4. Application briefer using the prescribed format that can be downloaded from the TAYO website (www.tayoawards.net) in arial font at least 12 font size with the following data:

a. Project description (one page)

b. Project background (1/2 page)

c. Organizational background (1/2)

d. Beneficiaries and how are they benefited (1/2)

e. People involved in the project (1/2 page)

f. Future plans for the project (1/2 page)

g. Resources used (1/2 page)

5. Three-page project documentation (can be any of the following: photos, testimonies of partners or beneficiaries, certificates, etc.)
