CAMP SIMEON OLA, LEGAZPI CITY (Mar 06 2012) – Three children were reported to have perished in an early morning fire in remote sitio Embudo, Barangay Jamorawon in Milagros, Masbate province on Monday (March 5), according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office.
Police Chief Insp. Romeo Rosero Lupango of the Milagros town Police station said the victims were identified as Ian, 4 years odl; Marjorie, 2 years old; and Iz, 10-month old, all children of couple, Teodoro and Josephine Alba.
A joint investigation conducted by the Police Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team and Army Corporal Tirso Freo of the 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army revealed that while the parents escaped unharmed they were unable to save their children in the conflagration.(SONNY SALES)
