NAGA CITY ( August 24, 2011) - Prominent businessmen in Southern Luzon assemble in Camarines Sur few days from now for a 2-day business convention.
The 28th South Luzon Area Business Conference shall be held at the Capitol Convention Center at Cadlan, Pili Camarines Sur on the 26th and 27th day of this month.
According to Jeremy Lo, President of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event’s sponsor, Camarines Sur was chosen as the venue of the this year’s business gathering.
Expected to attend are businessmen from the Calabarzon area, Mimaropa, Bicol and other growth areas in Southern Luzon.
Prominent legislatures and top government executives are also expected to attend as resource speakers. Senator Allan Peter Cayetano, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala and Cagayan Congressman Jack Enrile, son of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, have confirmed their attendance.
President Benigno C. Aquino III is to be the guest of honor of the event were it not for a time conflict with the President’s China visit.
Included in the agenda will be the status of investment in the light of change of administration and the support of government to businessmen in the Southern Luzon regions. (NORIEL OYA)
