On its 159th year and for the third consecutive time, Bank of the Philippine Islands has been awarded by Finance Asia as the Best Cash Management Bank in the Philippines. Through continuous deployment of solutions that meet the increasing sophistication of corporate customers, BPI has kept its position as the best in the Philippine cash management industry. With technology capabilities that match the capabilities of global banks complemented by the widest network among local banks, BPI offers its customers' unparalleled support for the fulfillment of their cash management needs.
Cash management is concerned about the efficient handling of the inflow and outflow of cash to and from the business. Through its various products and services, BPI offers its corporate customers - multinationals, large corporates, small and medium enterprises (SME) solutions to their collections, disbursements and liquidity management concerns.
While traditional cash management products are still available to clients, BPI capitalizes on its technology capabilities to deliver its services through more advanced means. The ExpressLink, the Bank's internet banking platform for corporate customers, caters to the customers' cash management needs by providing them a secure, convenient and efficient way of doing banking transactions online.
The ExpressLink enables clients to pay their suppliers, employees, utilities and government obligations in the comfort of their offices. Account balances, bank statements and collection reports may be viewed and downloaded for automated reconciliation. Among other things, these are the online services offered by BPI to its corporate customers who have at least P100,000 in ADB.
As the local cash management industry has become increasingly competitive with the emergence of other banks as cash management solutions providers, BPI sets itself above the rest through its: leadership in technological advancement among local banks; nationwide presence through its extensive branch network; renowned history of integrity and stability; continuous innovation and enhancement of existing facilities to address customers' needs; and enabling brand of customer service.
Leveraging on these strengths, the BPI cash management team is looking to further augment its customer base, increase transaction volumes, acquire new mandates, forge more partnerships with global banks and contribute more to the Bank's revenue stream. With these goals realized, BPI looks forward to sustaining its leadership in the cash management business in the country.
