Naga City (17 Aug) - With the opening of the first Annual Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair nearing, the signing of its memorandum of agreement (MOA) among partner-organizers took place today at the Event Center of SM City Naga.
The MOA was signed by Msgr. Nelson Tria, Chair of the Bishop Gainza Trade Fair; Ms. Edna Tejada, Provincial Director of DTI Camarines Sur; and Engr. Wesley Christian Villanueva, Asst. Mall Manager of SM City Naga.
Among those who witnessed the signing were members of the local print and broadcast media headed by local KBP President Emman Llagas; and Gainza Trade Fair organizers Fr. Fidel Bagayaua, Fr. Louan Jarcia, Fr. Louie Occiano, and Fr. Wilmer Tria.
The Bishop Gainza Trade Fair was launched to revive and sustain the trade fair which Gainza pioneered as a feature of the Peñafrancia festivities. It is also aimed to serve as an avenue for poverty alleviation by promoting small and medium-scale entrepreneurship in the region.
The fair will run from September 9-20 at the SM City Naga Open Parking Lots A, B, & C, and will feature not only "the best of Bikolano products," but will also hold trainings and seminars on trade and entrepreneurship, as well as cultural presentations from the different provinces of the region.
