Tripoli falls to the rebels

Gadhafi desperately calls for imaginary supports even as NATO said it is over

Electrifying atmosphere erupts again in Benghazi tonight as celebration erupts in reaction to two pieces of information released by no less than the Transitional National Council (TNC): one, that the Presidential Guards of Moammar Gadhafi have surrendered to the rebels and, secondly, that Gadhafi's son, Seif al Islam, was captured by the rebels in the in the Rixos Hotel in Tripoli.

Both news have been confirmed by Waheed Burshan of the TNC

Gadhafi's troops continue to defect to the rebel forces.

Libyan rebel forces are now in Green Square in the heart of Tripoli, according to multiple reports.

Burshan also confirmed that rebel forces are now in control of the most part of Tripoli.

Mohamad al Akari, a Transitional National Council advisor, said that if Moammar Gadhafi is still in Tripoli, they believe he is in Bab al Aziziya.

The U.S. has urged the TNC to start preparing for post-Gadhafi Libya after seeing clear signs that the uprising that began six months ago is now reaching its culmination.

The NATO has also confirmed that the rebellion is now finished even as Gadhafi still desperately calls for support by radio messages. But it appears support to still possible bail out Gadhafi is not forthcoming.

Celebrations have already started in Tripoli.

Two other sons of Gadhafi have already surrendered.
