Negros Occidental's back-to-back festivals took on a melodic twist as Kapuso stars sang their hearts out for their fans during Sipalay City's Charter Anniversary and Bacolod City's "Festival of All Festivals," the 21st Panaad sa Negros Festival.
Rumored pair Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino couldn't contain the glow they both feel, which transpired in their choice of songs during the Kapuso Fiesta in Sipalay City, dubbed the Jewel of the Sugar Island, on March 30, Sunday.
The Negrenses listened to Rocco's version of Ngiti while Lovi, in turn, sang Dreaming of You. Dancing diva Rochelle Pangilinan, meanwhile, set the stage on fire with Bayle.
"It has always been a pleasure performing for our supporters who go out of their way just to see us. And in Negros, we really enjoyed our stay because of the warm reception given to us for which we are truly thankful," shared Lovi.
Come Monday, March 31, a Kapuso Night featuring the lead stars of primetime drama series Rhodora X delighted the audience at the Panaad Park and Stadium. Jennylyn Mercado, in her mellow voice, carried out Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man and her own single Sa Aking Panaginip. Yasmien Kurdi revived her song I Know to which the fans sang along to, and Kisapmata. And who knew that the dance floor's bad boy can also tap his inner singer? Apart from showing off his smooth dance moves in an electrifying number, which had the crowd asking for more, Mark Herras serenaded them with the OPM song Harana. Mark Anthony Fernandez, for his part, chose to entertain his fans by engaging in a dating game. The said Kapuso Night successfully registered a 10,000 audience estimate.
Jennylyn, who didn't expect such a large crowd only has gratitude to extend to their fans, "Napakarami pong tao ang nagpunta para mapanood kami. Marami pong salamat at talagang tuwang-tuwa kami sa suportang ipinakita ng mga Kapuso nating Negrense sa Rhodora X at sa GMA."
Earlier that day, Lovi and Rocco had a meet and greet with their supporters in a mall show held at the North Transport Hub of SM City Bacolod.
