Ikaw ang Pag-Ibig premieres at SM Cinema Naga

After its World Premiere in December of 2010 and a couple of screenings at the Parish level in 2011, the long wait for the Nationwide Screening of the film, Ikaw ang Pag-Ibig, has finally came to an end.

The Premiere Night held at the Cinema 1 of SM Naga City last September 13, 2011 (Tuesday) was followed the day after by the Nationwide Screening.

The said Premiere Night was attended by Most Rev. Leonardo Legaspi, O.P. D.D., Most Rev. Gilbert Garcera, D.D., Most. Rev. Manolo de los Santos, D.D, members of the Clergy of Caceres, Religious Men and Women of Caceres, Honorable Mayor John Bongat, Jomari Yllana, Ms. Roxanne Jesalva, Guardias de Maria, and other social icons of Naga City.

The film, written and directed by Marilou Diaz-Abaya, was made during the Tercentenary Celebration of the Devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

Dedicated to the loving Ina, Patroness of Bicolandia, the film confirms the transforming power of love and brings to the forefront the mysteries of faith and ultimately, of hope.

It is a story of a family anchored on the Blessed Virgin Mary in the midst of doubt, suffering and pain, hoping for the best through her powerful intercession. Produced by the Archdiocese of Caceres, Ikaw ang Pag-Ibig is a film known to bring tears to one's eyes, a film that does not only touch the human heart but also encapsulates the experiences of most of its viewers.
