GSIS kiosk now up at CAMSUR capitol

PILI,Camarines Sur (July 15, 2011) - A GWAP kiosk of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) was formally opened at the Camarines Sur provincial capitol yesterday.

While the said extension aims to facilitate GSIS transactions of the provincial employees, other government employees can avail of its services as well.

Sally Mate, vice president for Operations of GSIS central office who lead the launching ceremonies, said the agency aims to open similar facilities in all other provinces and cities in the country.

A GSIS kiosk had already been  in Naga City, housed at the Roco Library within the City Hall compound.

Mate said that information like service records and others are easily retrievable from the automated kiosks making possible processing of policy, salary and emergency loans and, in the future, even retirement claims.

Camarines Sur provincial administrator Fermin Mabulo expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the installation of GWAP machine at the provincial capitol.

Vice-Governor Fortunato Peña, GSIS regional manager Lolita Pureza and representatives of other local and national agencies also attended the launching.

Later today, Mate shall meet with GSIS officials and members at the Avenue Plaza Hotel in Naga City to orient them of other GSIS programs and projects.

GSIS members and liason officers of Bicol-based government agencies are expected to attend. (MAL/DCA, PIA Camarines Sur)
