SAN FERNANDO, Camarines Sur - The dead bodies of father and son, identified as Martin Copino and his 20-year old son, Jimson, have been recovered by the San Fernando police more than a week after they were abducted from their home.
In the evening of February 28 armed group of 10 men forcibly took the victim from their home in sitio Calomagnan, San Fernando town.
The San Fernando Police reported on Saturday (March 9) that the motives for killing of the victims have yet to be determined by investigators. The bodies were abandoned in the hinterlands for seven-days and were already in an advanced stage of decomposition when found.
The police also reported that the grieving family of Copino had earlier suspected that communist rebels were responsible for the killing, but investigators revealed personal enemies of the Copinos’ could be responsible for the crime.
The San Fernando Police said two of the ten suspects who abducted the victims were already identified. (SONNY SALES)
