Masbate cops nab man illegally selling oil items

MASBATE CITY, Nov. 8 (PNA) – Joint operatives of six Bicol police units arrested a man caught in a buy-bust operation for illegal trading of petroleum products at 9 a.m. Friday at Barangay Cantil, Balud, Masbate.

The multi-agency team apprehended Alie L. Tambal for violation of B.P. 33 as amended by P.D. 1865 and confiscated from him 10 big plastic drums of diesel, 10 small plastic drums of diesel, one plastic hose about two meters long and Php5,500 cash used as marked money.

The Masbate-CIDG brought Tambal to Camp Bonny Serrano, Masbate PPO, for investigation and documentation while the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the BMPS for proper disposition.

The Masbate-CIDG is now preparing a case for violation of B.P. 33 as amended by P.D. 1865 against the suspect before the Office of the Masbate Provincial Prosecutor.

The operation was joint venture of the Masbate Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), Masbate Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Regional Intelligence Unit-Masbate, Philippine National Police Maritime Group-Masbate, Masbate Provincial Public Safety Company and Balud Municipal Police Station (BMPS).
