LEGAZPI CITY, Nov. 8 (PNA) – Different units of the Philippine National Police Bicol regional office arrested 14 wanted persons on Thursday and Friday, Chief Supt. Augusto Marquez Jr., PNP Bicol regional director, said Saturday.
Armed with warrants of arrest (WOA) issued by various judges in the region, police on Thursday nabbed Richard I. Rombano, Peejay T. Asuncion, Aries G.. Longasa, Johnard L. Ricafort, Salvador J. Gubaya, Ryan B. Dometita, Richard E. Dela Cruz, Jerwin D. Amaro, Abelardo N. Tanada, Amaro C. Santelices and Mark Lloyd S. Vallarez.
Other station operatives caught Mark Anthony T. San Juan, Eric Francis M. Sopeña, Gaudencio R. Balmaceda Jr. and Reynaldo P. Cereza on Friday.
Rombano was collared at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sta. Cruz, Iriga City by virtue of a WOA issued by Timoteo A. Panga Jr., presiding judge, RTC, Branch 60, Iriga City for Violation of Sec. 5 (b). Art III of RA 7610 under Criminal Case (CC) No. IR-11224 dated October 20, 2015 with bail recommended at Php200.000.
Earlier, at 9:45 a.m. the same day, at Barangay Sta. Cruz, Virac, Catanduanes, elements of Virac MPS arrested Asuncion on the strength of a WOA issued by Lelu P. Contreras, executive judge of RTC, Virac, Catanduanes for violation of RA 9262 docketed under CC No. 5623 with a bail fixed of Php80,000.
At about 4:25 a.m., joint elements of Donsol MPS, Regional Intelligence Unit 5, San Jose MPS, Batangas provincial police and Banuang Gurang CAA detachment arrested Longasa No. 1 most wanted person of San Jose, Batangas. at Barangay Pawala, Donsol, Sorsogon.
The law enforcers were armed with a WOA issued by Judge Maria Cecilia Austria-Chua of RTC Branch 2, Batangas City for murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 15463.
Personnel of Sorsogon City Police Station cornered at 5 p.m. Thursday Ricafort, Gubaya, Dometita and Dela Cruz at Sitio Madan-an, Barangay Bibincahan, Sorsogon City on order of Michael A. Balmaceda, presiding judge of MTCC Br.1, Sorsogon City for violation of Sec. 1 (A) of PD. 1602.
Mobo MPS members took in Amaro and Tanada at 4 p.m. Thursday in Barangay Poblacion District 1, Mobo, Masbate, with a WOA issued by Diana Tambago-Sanchez, presiding judge of 7th MCTC of Mobo-Milagros for violation of PD 1602 docketed under Criminal Case number 4924 with bail recommended fixed at Php12,000.
Santelices was handcuffed at Sitio Tondo, Barangay Sagrada, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes for ten counts of rape lodged at the sala of Lelu P. Contreras, acting presiding judge of RTC Br. 42, Virac, Catanduanes with no bail recommended.
Virac MPS members cornered Vallarez at Barangay Palta Small, Virac, Catanduanes on order also of Contreras for rape in relation to RA 7610 with no bail recommended and two counts for Violation of Sec. 10 of RA 7610 with a bail of Php 80,000.
On Friday Canaman MPS personnel arrested San Juan at Barangay Dinaga, Canaman, Camarines Sur on order of Rosita L. Lalwani, presiding judge of RTC Branch 28, Naga City for acts of lasciviousness with a bail of Php12,000.
On the same day at San Isidro, Iriga City, Iriga CPS bagged Sopeña, who was ordered arrested by Dominador A. Agor, acting presiding judge of MTCC Branch 1, Iriga City for violation of City Ordinance No. 2002-02 otherwise known as the Revised Traffic Code of Iriga City.
Joint elements of Tanauan City Police Station and Tinambac MPS arrested Balmaceda at Tinambac, Camarines Sur on order of Ma. Marjorie T. Uyingco-Nolasco, presiding judge, RTC, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 83, Tanauan City for frustrated homicide with bail of Php24,000.
At 5 p.m. Friday, elements of Sta. Elena MPS arrested Cereza by virtue of a WOA issued by Judge Roberto A. Escaro, acting presiding judge of RTC Branch 64, Labo, Camarines Norte for rape in relation to RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case Number 2014-2655 dated December 17, 2014 with no recommended bail.
